Oceanside CA– The San Diego County Coroner released the name of the motorcyclist killed in the September 13th motorcycle, truck collision as 23 year-old Oceanside resident, Joshua Ueda.
On September 13, 2014, Joshua was the driver and sole occupant of a motorcycle that collided into the rear end of a truck. He was ejected off his motorcycle. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene and on arrival determined the motorcyclist had died from his injuries.
The collision occurred as both vehicles were westbound on North River Road, east of Sleeping Indian Rd. The agricultural truck was slowing to make a left turn into an agriculture field service road. The motorcycle was behind the agricultural truck as the truck was beginning to negotiate the left turn. The motorcycle ran into the right rear portion of the truck, ejecting the motorcyclist.
The driver of the agricultural truck was interviewed on scene and released. Based on the preliminary investigation it does not appear that alcohol was a factor in the collision, however, it appears that speed may have been.
