Vista CA– ArtBeat on Main Street is excited to partner with North County-based TERI Center for Arts and Adult Education by presenting an exhibit of two dozen multimedia works created by program participants whose lives are touched by special needs. The artists are looking forward to meeting Gallery guests at the August 16, 2014 opening reception taking place at 5 pm at ArtBeat, 330 Main Street, Vista. The TERI players will provide lively entertainment.
Prices range from $50-$600. Proceeds from TERI artwork sold at the reception and throughout the duration of the exhibit, which closes September 14, 2014, benefit TERI’s Center. Equally significant, the opportunity to showcase their work greatly benefits the artists, says ArtBeat owner Kait Matthews. She explains, “As a working artist, I understand the joy of creation and the gratification gained from having people connect with my art. For TERI artists, this joy and fulfillment legitimize their artistic endeavors and make them feel valued, worthwhile and purposeful.”
TERI Artist Representative Stacey Seeburger agrees, saying, “Creating art – often collaborating on pieces – is a therapeutic, life-affirming mode of self-expression for the nearly 200 people in our program. The artists are grateful for the opportunity to display their artwork at such a fine gallery.”
