Oceanside CA- The Las Pulgas fire has grown to 8,000 acres aboard Camp Pendleton Marine and is 0% contained. Air Support Squadron 3 in the 32 Area has been ordered to evacuate to the I MEF parade deck in Camp Del Mar behind Devil Doc Hall, Building 210825.
The Las Pulgas gate has been closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles. Stuart Mesa road has been closed north of Assault Craft Unit-5.
Basilone Road from Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton to Camp Horno, as well as Las Pulgas Road remain closed. Ammunition Road aboard Naval Weapons Station Fallbrook also remains closed.
Military personnel in the Las Flores Area of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton were ordered to evacuate to the I MEF parade deck at 10 p.m., Thursday.
These evacuations and road closures are due to the movement and growth of the Las Pulgas fire that was first reported at 3:15 p.m. This fire led to the evacuations of Camp Las Pulgas and Camp Margarita earlier Thursday.
