Oceanside CA- The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is looking for people who had construction work done by the man you see in the photo. He is suspected in a string of home burglaries while doing remodeling jobs in area homes. Carlos Barajas, age 31, of RB Remodeling was taken into custody in Ramona on Tuesday, April 9th. He is now facing multiple counts including check fraud and burglary charges.
Area residents who have had remodeling work done by Barajas or his company, RB Remodeling, and have filed a crime report, are asked to contact Detective Byron Barrios at the Vista Sheriff’s Station (760) 940‐4600.
The investigation into Barajas began in March when a Vista woman reported a crime about her checks being fraudulently cashed. She also reported a missing ring. The victim told deputies that RB Remodeling made water damage repairs in her home in February. Detectives say Barajas is known to target the elderly.
