Oceanside CA- Mission Avenue will close Thursday, December 5 at 3:00PM, from Coast Highway to Cleveland St, for the annual Holiday Tree lighting. The tree lighting festivities begin 6:00PM at the Regal Plaza across from the Holiday Gift Market (aka Sunset Market) downtown. Santa will arrive on an antique fire engine while crafts, a trackless train, horse and carriage rides, music and food will be available to those attending the tree lighting. The event is free to the public and coincides with the Sunset Market transformation to the Holiday Market. The Flying Mangos are performing on the main stage while people shop for unique gifts until the market closes at 9:00PM.
