Oceanside CA— A ribbon cutting ceremony in Oceanside on Monday, April 18, marked the latest milestone in San Diego County’s commitment to prioritizing mental health and substance use services.
A new community-based Crisis Stabilization Unit opened its doors, becoming the sixth CSU in the county with plans for more in east and south San Diego. The 24-hour, seven-day a week, walk-in facility is based on a living room model and offers a kinder, gentler approach to intervention and stabilization for anyone suffering from a behavioral or mental health crisis.
People needing immediate behavioral health assistance should call 911. Help is also available by calling the County’s Access and Crisis Line at 888-724-7240 or visiting www.Up2SD.org.
The Oceanside CSU is located inside the County Live Well Health Center, 1701 Mission Avenue, Suite 130 in Oceanside.
