Carlsbad CA— Just in time for the busy holiday weekend, the City of Carlsbad Police Department is asking parents and caregivers of kids with e-bikes to attend a virtual workshop to learn about important rules and safety guidelines to reinforce with their young riders.
In response to safety concerns raised by community members, officers have stepped up education and enforcement on e-bike issues in recent months. They need parents and caregivers to help reinforce this information at home. If you are a parent or guardian, police are asking that you join them to learn how you and your e-bike riders can safely and legally share the road.
