Oceanside CA— MainStreet Oceanside is thrilled to announce the grand reopening of the Sunset Market, Oceanside’s weekly gathering, on Thursday, June 24, 2021 in Downtown Oceanside, Pier View Way west of Coast Highway.
From 5-9 p.m., San Diego County’s top weekly food and music street fair will return with hot food from around the world, gourmet treats, shopping and live entertainment for all audiences.
“I am ecstatic,” said Cathy Nykiel, Sunset Market Manager. “I’ve been waiting 14 months to get the Sunset Market back up and running.”
Located in the heart of Downtown Oceanside on Pier View Way west of North Coast Highway, this beloved free and family-friendly event features up to 200 merchants and spans four city blocks, all within walking distance of the beach, Downtown businesses and the iconic Oceanside Pier.
“The extraordinary resiliency of our community has resulted in more shopping and dining options in Downtown, including outdoor seating,” said Rick Wright, Executive Director of MainStreet Oceanside.
Multiple parking lots and parking structures with nearly 900 parking spaces surround the Sunset Market. The new pay-to-park structure at 371 N. Cleveland St. offers all-day parking for $5 per vehicle. Downtown Oceanside also has two free public parking structures next to the Oceanside Transit Center at Seagaze Drive and North Cleveland Street, and at City Hall at Ditmar Street and Civic Center Drive. Please note: There is no overnight parking available at any Downtown parking structure.
