San Marcos CA—We cordially invite those interested to share in our annual Salute to Veterans dinner on November 2, 2020, as we honor those, past and present, who have served and protected our country and way of life. We will also recognize those in attendance who are part of our first responders – police, firefighters and paramedics. We are very enthused about the program for the evening. We will be happily entertained by the vocal stylings of the Big Band trio, the Harmonettes” in the style of the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boys. Captain Max Roberstson from the Lake San Marcos Security Patrol will give the Flag Salute and introduction of the Color Guard. Captain Robertson spent 20 plus years in the military and met his wife, also a retired Marine, while serving. He was born in Honduras and became a citizen in 1974. He has recently become Captain of the Lake San Marcos Security Patrol . Our featured speaker will be San Diego County Undersheriff Mike Barnett who is second in command to Sheriff Bill Gore. As undersheriff since 2017, he serves as the chief deputy of the elected sheriff overseeing all department operations and ensuring San Diego County remains the safest urban county in the nation.
