$2 Million Raised to Support Families at San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House
San Diego CA— Raising $2 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of San Diego, the San Diego Giving Back Raffle concludes awarding $1 million to the grand prizewinner, Beatrice Briggs of San Diego, CA.
The $2 million in proceeds from this year’s fundraiser will support thousands of family members who rely on the services of San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House every year – including lodging, meals and emotional support. The San Diego Giving Back Raffle continues to be the charity’s largest fundraiser, ensuring families can remain close while their critically ill or injured child is in a local hospital.
In addition to the grand prizewinner, Cindy Simonian of Oceanside, CA was selected as the multi-ticket drawing winner and has her choice of a 2020 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid; Tesla Model X Performance 2020; or $100,000 cash. Multi-ticket drawing participants qualified for the drawing by purchasing three or more raffle tickets in the same transaction. Additionally, thousands of other prizes were awarded to ticket holders this week, including luxury cars, vacations, concert tickets, high-end technology and more.
“In a challenging year for fundraising and for the world as a whole, we have seen our community rise to the occasion and continue to support families going through the unimaginable,” said Chuck Day, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. “We are truly grateful to the raffle participants who help our organization keep families close as their child goes through a medical crisis.”
