Dear City Clerk Zeb Navarro, and City Attorney John Mullen,
Thank you for producing the straight forward, people friendly language, describing the ballot measure that will bring our citizens referendum protesting the ordinance for the North River Farms project to our voters Nov. 3, 2020.
This makes twice, in recent memory, that you have delivered a very direct, clear, unbiased statement explaining what our “NO” or “YES” vote will mean. The first being Measure K, and whether City Clerk and City Treasurer should be elected, or appointed by and reporting to the City Manager.
The proposed ballot measure language is an excellent example of how city government builds trust with voters.
Please continue on this path toward increasing transparency and building genuine trust with all Oceanside residents.
City Council Members – Please approve the ballot measure language, verbatim, during Agenda Item #18 of the June 24 City Council Meeting.
OR: Save $80 – 100,000 of taxpayer money and reverse your vote previous vote on this ordinance: No. 19-OR0729-1 pertaining to the North River Farms project.
