Safety and Social Distancing Measures in Place
Oceanside CA— Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) is excited to announce that they will open for summer camp on Monday, June 15th. Safety of BGCO youth and staff is the number one priority and BGCO will open in accordance with all CDC, State of California, and San Diego County reopening requirements. It is due to this abundance of caution that BGCO is setting a maximum occupancy of 77 members at this time.
Children will have their temperature checked before they enter the building. BGCO staff and members will wear masks. There will be an eleven to one ratio and members will stay in one classroom throughout the day. Members will be allowed outside for lunch, snack and outside playtime, with social distancing measures in place. Dedicated staff will clean and sanitize rooms and program supplies throughout the day and regular handwashing and hand sanitizing will occur for everyone.
“Staff have been doing an amazing job providing virtual programming for members since we’ve been closed, but everyone is so excited to see them in person. We will be adapting to the “new normal,” said Jodi Diamond, CEO. “This is a learning process for all of us, but we are confident that we will still be able to have a fun, enriching and meaningful camp experience.”
Summer camp will be held June 15th to August 12th at the Townsite Boys & Girls Club, located at 401 Country Club Lane, Oceanside, CA 92054. Themes will include: Lights, Camera, Action; Disney; Splish Splash; DC Marvels Adventure and much more. Hours of camp will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
