Washington DC— On Tuesday, U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-CA) announced the launch of his first annual “Valentines for Veterans” program to collect and distribute Valentine’s Day cards to local veterans.
“Our courageous military men and women earn our gratitude every day. Crafting Valentines for the upcoming holiday is a small way to show veterans in our district appreciation for risking their lives in defense of our nation,” said Rep. Levin. “That is why I am launching the “Valentines for Veterans” program in California’s 49th Congressional District, so our community can say thank you while spreading a little merriment this Valentine’s Day to our local heroes.”
Constituents of all ages are encouraged to participate by dropping off or mailing cards to Levin’s Oceanside and Dana Point offices. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, February 12, 2020. Valentines should be delivered in unsealed envelopes. Constituents with questions about “Valentines for Veterans” should contact our Oceanside, CA office at (760) 599-5000.
