San Diego CA— Mission Federal Credit Union, San Diego’s largest locally based financial institution exclusively serving San Diego County, donated and delivered holiday trees to the San Diego Center for Children on December 5, 2019. Employee volunteers representing Mission Fed’s senior leadership team plus staff from branches and departments joined the Center’s staff and children in decorating 28 holiday trees with lights, stands and ornaments.
The trees were placed in the residential cottages at the San Diego Center for Children’s main campus in Linda Vista, and at its additional program sites in Serra Mesa, La Mesa, Escondido, Spring Valley and El Cajon.
Within its safe and nurturing 12-acre campus, the Center provides therapeutic care, special education, foster care and transition age services to children and families struggling with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders, empowering the lives of more than 1,000 people every day. Many of the children and teens in therapeutic residential care remain at the Center’s main campus during the holidays.
