San Diego CA— San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, has launched its ninth annual Holiday Toy Drive benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s).
Through December 21, 2019, every one of SDCCU’s convenient branch locations throughout Southern California will serve as an authorized drop-off location for new, unwrapped toys. All toys will be donated to the two hospitals.
“We encourage everyone to pick up an extra toy while they are out shopping this holiday season to give to these courageous children who find themselves in need of pediatric healthcare. This small gesture is bound to put big smiles on the faces of youngsters during their time at these two wonderful pediatric hospitals,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell.
Donated items may be used throughout the year as gifts to individual patients in various age groups. In addition, donated items may be utilized in playrooms and support groups as in-room activities for patients and in conjunction with therapies. The hospitals cannot accept stuffed animals or violent-themed toys, such as guns.
Last holiday season, SDCCU’s customers and employees donated more than 2,100 toys in support of SDCCU’s eighth annual Holiday Toy Drive.
