Oceanside CA—Students at Discovery Isle Preschool® in Oceanside recently hosted a baby food drive and collected enough items to provide 900 meals to local children in need. Throughout March, students collected baby food items to benefit the North County Food Bank chapter of The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank, which often has a shortage of food donations for babies.
To support the effort, students decorated the donation bins and helped prepare the items for pickup at the close of the drive. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to others in their community.
The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and its North County Food Bank chapter provide nutritious food to people in need, advocate for the hungry and educate the public about hunger-related issues.
