Carlsbad CA— Carlsbad City Library now offers streaming services for indie and classic movies and high-quality music. During a pilot project of these streaming services, library cardholders will be able to access movies and music 24 hours a day and seven days a week from any personal computer, mobile device with internet connectivity, Roku or Apple TV. The streaming services are free with a Carlsbad library card.

- The popular on-demand film streaming service Kanopy offers more than 30,000 of the world’s best films, including award-winning documentaries, rare and hard-to-find titles, film festival favorites, indie and classic films, children’s films and world cinema with collections from Samuel Goldwyn, The Great Courses, PBS and thousands of independent filmmakers.
- On-demand music streaming services will be available through Alexander Street and feature classical, jazz, world and American music with more than 670,000 recordings.
- Kanopy allows streaming of eight titles per month per library card holder and Alexander Street allows for unlimited streaming music.
Carlsbad City Library also continues to offer eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital magazines and online research databases for free with a valid Carlsbad library card. Library goers without a Carlsbad library card may apply for one online or in-person.
