Carlsbad CA— SANDAG and Caltrans invite community members to attend a construction open house, 6:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, October 10 in the Holiday Inn-Carlsbad, Horizon West Conference Room, 2725 Palomar Airport Rd.
Learn about planned highway improvements, including the extension of the carpool lane on Interstate 5 (I-5) in each direction between Birmingham Drive in the City of Encinitas and Palomar Airport Road in the City of Carlsbad, what to expect during construction, and alternate transportation choices, and community resources during construction.
Attendees also will have the opportunity to learn more about current construction activities to double track the coastal rail line, create new bike/pedestrian connections, and restore vital coastal habitat.
On display will be:

• Displays showing upcoming construction, project renderings, and
  current project progress
• Build NCC project team members speaking with the community
• Informational booths, maps, and exhibits
