Oceanside CA— The California Surf Museum’s 11th Annual Gala Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 from 4:00 to 11:00 pm at the oceanfront Cape Rey Carlsbad, a Hilton Resort, 1 Ponto Road in Carlsbad.
Just a stone’s throw from the beach, the Gala venue offers spectacular sunset views overlooking the Ponto surf break and the Pacific Ocean.
This year’s honorees are a group of legendary surfers who had a huge impact in the competitive realm of surfing in 1976, known as “The ’76 Revolutionaries”: Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew, Ian Cairns, Dane Kealoha, Margo Oberg, Mark “MR” Richards, Shaun Tomson and Peter “PT” Townend. All are scheduled to be in attendance.
Besides the silent auction, special collector surfboards which have been shaped specifically for this Gala Fundraiser by some of the world’s most prestigious shapers in tribute to each of the honorees, will be auctioned at the Gala.
Gala tickets include appetizers, dinner and dessert at the 5-star venue, complimentary bar drinks, and California Surf Museum guest passes. Tickets are now available online at surfmuseum.org
VIP group tickets for 10, which include one room at the Cape Rey, for $2,000, reserved table of 10 for $1,750, and individual for $175.
Excitement is building, and a limited number of tickets are available; this is an event you won’t want to miss! Last year’s event sold out early.
