Oceanside CA— The Oceanside Police Department’s Resident’s Academy will be offered in Spanish beginning October 1, 2018.
The Resident’s Academy is a free six-week program designed to provide a greater understanding of what police work is all about, as well as creating relationships of trust and
cooperation between law enforcement and the community. Participants must reside or work in the city of Oceanside to attend.
This particular program is being offered in Spanish to better meet the needs of Oceanside residents who speak Spanish. The curriculum supports the department’s Core Values, one
of which is diversity, to respect and value all members of our community.
The Academy will run from 6:30 to 8 30 pm Monday evenings at the Oceanside Police Department, 3855 Mission Avenue, at the intersection of Mission Avenue and EI Camino Real
The first class is scheduled to start on October 1, 2018, and sessions will continue through November 15, 2018.
Participants will receive a comprehensive overview 01 the Police Department. There will be classroom instruction along with live demonstrations which are held at the Police Department.
