Encinitas CA— Former NFL tight-end Kellen Winslow II, son of former San Diego Charger player Kellen Winslow was re-arrested today, concurrently with a search warrant which was executed at his residence. Winslow was arrest last week on burglary charges after San Diego County Sheriff’s Deputies were called regarding a residential burglary in an Encinitas mobile home park. A neighbor called the SDSO after he saw a black male he didn’t recognize enter a home. After the person confronted the unknown individual, the man alleged got back into his black SUV and drove away. Deputies later stopped a vehicle with the driver, Winslow, being identified as the person that had entered the home.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Division arrested Kellen Winslow II today on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Winslow is being charged with the following:

• 2 counts of 209 PC – Kidnapping with intent to commit rape
• 2 counts of 261(a)(2) PC – Forcible rape
• 1 count of 286(c)(2)(A) PC – Forcible sodomy
• 1 count of 288a(c)(2)(A) PC – Forcible oral copulation
• 2 counts of 459 PC – Residential burglary
• 1 count of 314 PC – Indecent exposure

Winslow II was a sixth overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft was named to the Pro Bowl in 2007 with the Browns. He played 10 seasons in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, New York Jets and played his college ball with the Miami Hurricanes.
Winslow will be booked into custody at the Vista Detention Facility and the arraignment is anticipated for tomorrow, June 15, at 1:30 p.m. in Department #14 of the North County Superior Court.
