Suspect vehicle in hit and run is a dark blue 2013 BMW 325i with CA Plates 5TBE922
San Marcos CA— Separate incidents involving pedestrians in San Marcos have left one person dead and one injured.
The first incident took place May 12, 2018 at 11:08 a.m. Deputies from the Sheriff’s San Marcos Station and Traffic Division responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision near 578 E. Mission Road in the City of San Marcos.
Based on the preliminary investigation, it was determined a vehicle traveling westbound on Mission Road near the above mentioned address collided with a pedestrian who was walking on the north sidewalk of Mission Road. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain serious injuries; however the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries on scene.

In the second incident, which took place Sunday night, May 13, 2018, at 8:24 p.m., deputies from the Sheriff’s San Marcos Station Traffic Unit responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision near South Rancho Santa Fe Road and West San Marcos Boulevard, in the City of San Marcos.
Based on the preliminary investigation it was determined a vehicle traveling southbound on South Rancho Santa Fe Road, approaching West San Marcos Boulevard, collided with a pedestrian who was walking westbound across the southbound lanes of South Rancho Santa Fe Road. The pedestrian was not inside of a marked crosswalk. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the collision. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle involved in the collision was identified as a dark blue 2013 BMW 325i, bearing California license plate 5TBE922. The vehicle had an undetermined amount of front end damage.
