San Diego CA— Home Start, Inc., a non-profit child abuse prevention and treatment agency that has strengthened and developed San Diego’s families and communities since 1972, netted more than $125,000 at its 46^th Annual Blue Ribbon Gala on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa.
The event, held each April in recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, raised funds for the organization’s programs that provide critical assistance to children and families throughout San Diego County.
The gala’s “Bohemian Nights” themed event featured a delectable three-course meal, silent and live auction items, a photo booth, and live entertainment by the Full Strength Funk band. Congresswoman Susan Davis was honored as Home Start’s 2018 Outstanding Community Partner with an award presented by California Assemblymember Todd Gloria. Home Start also recognized Barney & Barney Foundation as their 2018 Outstanding Funding Partner.
