San Clemente CA— Surfing Heritage and Culture Center (SHACC) Welcomes International Surf Properties (ISP) as its newest Sustaining Corporate Sponsor.
Henry Ford, legendary Southern California surfer and Director of Business Development for ISP, has been a staunch supporter of SHACC since the non-profit foundation’s beginnings. Jim Habig, ISP’s President, also volunteers on the Education committee as well as the Video Archive and Production committees.
“We’re very excited about this new opportunity to sponsor SHACC, the Smithsonian of surf museums,” said Ford. Our vision is to co-develop programs that will help raise funds to support SHACC’s mission and commitment to the global surfing community.”
Glenn Brumage, SHACC’s Executive Director, tells us “both Henry and Jim have given generously of their time and talents over the years. Having their Surf Properties business venture supporting SHACC’s mission is a natural fit. We appreciate the financial and volunteer commitment they have shown to surf culture and SHACC.”
“Like Henry, I’ve been a stoked surfer since I was kid, and I have a genuine interest in helping to preserve surfing’s colorful history and culture,” Habig said. “Volunteering at SHACC is like being an acolyte at the Temple of Surf history.”
The staff at ISP, Jim, Henry, and Chip will volunteer for SHACC during the Surf Expo Trade Show in Orlando FL, January 25 – 27. To support SHACC’s East Coast Membership Drive, ISP is donating a Surf Trip to La Jolla de Guasacate in Nicaragua www.lajollanica.com and a custom Lost C3 surfboard, courtesy of LATAM Aid Foundation https://latamaid.org/
