Oceanside CA— Recently, the Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation presented a check for $500.00 to the Oceanside Promise Foundation. The donation came from proceeds from 2016-17 Oceanside Music Fest Concert Series, and the funds will go toward the purchase of microphones for the new Oceanside High School Performing Arts Center.
OCAF’s Mission has been to promote and support the arts in the City of Oceanside and neighboring communities since 1989. OCAF presents to the community four major arts events each year: Oceanside Days of Art, Oceanside Music Fest, Write On, Oceanside! Literary Faire, and Oceanside International Film Festival.
The presentation took place on the stage of the new Center. In attendance were OCAF Executive Board members Robert Parker, Anita Romaine and Eliane Weidauer, Oceanside Promise Foundation Board member Vu Nyen, OHS Principal Teresa Collis and delighted OHS performing arts students: Anna-Liese Deleon, Drew Chapman, Evelyn Garofano, Carelan Robertson, Edenly Gonzalez, Zaire Oros, Lesley Garcia and Eric Vohis.
