Docent Training Classes. Gain in-depth knowledge about the unique collection of plants at SD Botanic Garden, Encinitas’ 37-acre botanic wonderland! Docent activities include planning and working on special events, volunteering in Garden beautification, and helping the Garden run smoothly. Sculpture in the Garden. This unique exhibition showcases more than 50 sculptures from over 30 talented local artists set against the beautiful backdrop of the San Diego Botanic Garden. Gala in the Garden: A Night In Nature. The San Diego Botanic Garden’s annual fund-raiser honoring Ann & David Welborn. Guests have the opportunity to explore the Garden’s trails, enjoy fine wine, craft beer and the best dishes from local restaurants. Introduction to Zentangle. If you’ve been intimidated by art in the past… then this is your class! Let Certified Zentangle Teacher, Janet Masey, introduce you to the concept of Zentangle Art Method. Mosaic Rock. During this 2-day class, create a beautiful mosaic rock using ocean rocks and glass beads. Students will learn how to glue and grout colorful beads to create flowers, plants, or other shapes resulting in attractive garden art. Instructor: Candy Sharda. Living Wall/Vertical Garden. REGISTER TODAY! THIS CLASS WILL SELL OUT! Learn the basics of planting a living wall in just 3 hours! Students will be planting a 10” x 20” wall of succulent varieties. Living walls can be used to adorn exterior or interior spaces. Use your imagination to come up with striking patterns and unique designs with a multitude of colors/textures/sizes of succulents.
