Oceanside CA— Just after 8:00am this morning, May 2, 2017, Oceanside Police Officers responded to a call of a male lying in the grass in the 2000 block of S. Tremont St.

Officers arrived on scene and located an 18-year-old white male on the ground with blood on his face and abrasions to his arm. The victim was pronounced dead on scene.
Detectives from the Crimes of Violence unit are currently on scene investigating. Nobody has been arrested at this point in the investigation.
