Update: The driver has been identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiners Office as 85-year-old, George Bamber who resided with his wife and adult son in Fallbrook.
Fallbrook CA— This morning, January 9, 2017, at 8:20 am, an 84-year-old male from Fallbrook was driving his 2007 Toyota Sienna mini-van northbound on Willow Glen Road near the address of 2219 Willow Glen Rd.

For reasons still under investigation, an oak tree on the right shoulder of the road fell directly on the Toyota Sienna killing the driver instantly.
At this time, the identity of the victim has not been released and the incident remains under investigation.
Willow Glen Road was shut down in both directions for several hours.
