Oceanside CA— Creating your own blog takes seconds and is free! Join other teens for free classes October 14 and October 21 at 3:30 p.m. at the Mission Branch Library (3861-B Mission Ave) on how to get started with WordPress instructor, Sara Ohara. Creating and maintaining a blog is a great way to express yourself, share extracurricular activities, accomplishments and reach other people who share your interests – and may help you get into the college of your choice.
Your blog can be public or private just for your friends and family. Options for sharing safely and sensibly on social media will be covered as well. We’ll take you step-by-step through starting your own blog, choosing its look and posting content. Whether you want a creative outlet or a platform for your cause, this class will organize, energize and empower you to achieve your goals.
Please bring your email password to class. No experience necessary. For students in grades 6-12.
Please register for this program by visiting the library or calling 760-435-5600. Plan on attending both class dates since the material will build on each other.
