Carlsbad CA— On Monday, April 18th, please join the North County Republican Coalition (NCRC) to meet two local candidates running in the 2016 elections! Paul Ware, candidate for Superior Court Judge, Office 25, and former CA State Senator, the Honorable Mark Wyland, candidate for San Diego County Board of Education.
Paul Ware is currently a Senior Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, providing legal analysis and recommendations concerning violent crimes to Assistant United States Attorneys and federal law enforcement agencies and officers. He also represents the United States in administrative hearings concerning firearms and explosives licensees. Paul Ware was previously a Judge for seven years in the U.S. Marine Corps, presiding over 600 trials. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel, after serving combat tours in both the Gulf War and Iraq. To Paul Ware, being a Judge is about protecting us all by ensuring our county is ruled by law, not might. He knows what it means to serve with honor, integrity and commitment, traits he will bring to the bench to continue to serve our community.
The Honorable Mark Wyland served for fourteen years in the California legislature in both the State Senate and State Assembly. He was an acknowledged leader on policies for economic growth, education, government and fiscal transparency. Mark Wyland was also a board member and then President of the Escondido Union School District. He has also served as a board member of his local Chamber of Commerce and YMCA, and continues as a Pomona College trustee, having served on the board for more than a decade. Mark Wyland is currently a candidate for the San Diego County Board of Education, District 5. The County Boards of Education support local school districts, providing or helping to formulate new curricula, staff development and training programs, and instructional procedures; design business and personnel systems; and perform many other services to meet changing needs and requirements.
