Oceanside CA— At Approximately 9:30 this morning, March 27, 2016, the Oceanside Police Department, Harbor Unit responded to a report of a body floating near the North Jetty at the Oceanside Harbor.
The body of a male, with a preliminary age estimate of late teens to mid-twenties, was recovered from the water by members of the OPD Harbor Unit.
“At this time, the cause of death doesn’t appear suspicious. It could be accidental but we are waiting for someone from the Coroners office to arrive.” said Oceanside Police Sergeant, Josh Morris.
No estimate of how long the body had been in the water. The investigation is continuing and we will have more information when it becomes available.
