Oceanside CA— Each year, the Walmart Foundation provides millions of dollars to nonprofit organizations all throughout the U.S.and last year, the Foundation provided more than $2.1 million in grants in California.
Past local recipients of Walmart Foundation grants include the San Diego Armed Services YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego, Casa Familiar, Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego, Arc of San Diego, Turning the Hearts Center, Parent Institute for Quality Education, Angel’s Depot and Leap to Success, among many others.
This cycle of the grant period is currently open to all organizations and is focused on community engagement giving and programs, which focus on the unmet needs of underserved low-income populations.
The application will close this Friday, July 17 at 11:59 p.m. CDT. Interested organizations can apply by visiting http://foundation.walmart.com/apply-for-grants/state-giving.
