Oceanside CA— The weather was cool and with three parking closed for new development in downtown since the last Fourth of July weekend, some beach goers had to walk a distance carrying a lot of equipment for their celebration. The long haul didn’t stop many from enjoying the surf or playing at the harbor. Once again, downtown was a “Safety Zone” with Pacific Street a haven for bike riders who took advantage of the road closed to motor-vehicles.

The Oceanside Yacht Club held their annual Yankee Doodle Dinghy Parade. 16 official along with some not so official entries circled the harbor with their dinghies decked out for Independence Day. Photos below.
