Oceanside CA— A little rain, even less sun but a great day for a parade as another large crowd turned out for this years Independence Parade, on Saturday, in downtown Oceanside.
The Grand Marshal for this year was Oceanside High School’s former head football coach, John Carroll. The Oceanside Independence Parade, organized by MainStreet Oceanside, presented by Tri-City Medical Center was covered live by KOCT and featured local dignitaries, high school and military bands and the Escondido Mounted Posse.
Friends of Oceanside Parks donated nearly 3000 American flags to the Oceanside Independence Parade handing them out to spectators along the parade route.
