“Green Oceanside is excited to host the largest Earth Festival in North County,” said Colleen Foster, senior management analyst, City of Oceanside. “North County residents can lower their carbon footprint and stay local to enjoy eco-friendly vendors and great entertainment. Help the Earth even more by biking to the Festival and feel confident knowing that your bike will be safe and secure with the free bike valet.”
The Oceanside Earth Festival has something for everyone. Attendees can shop from local businesses that showcase unique goods, handcrafted glass and upcycled materials at the Vintage Market. Learn how to live a greener more sustainable lifestyle from experts including green builders, alternative energy companies, water-wise landscape designers and master composters in the Home Improvement Zone. Participate in arts and crafts and have fun with your kids at the imaginative Eco-Kids Zone and groove to the sounds of live music from the main stage hosted by KPRi.
“The Earth Festival is a great free, family friendly event that everyone can enjoy,” added Foster. “Shop, eat and learn how you can become a better steward of our planet all in North County.”
The Earth Festival is sponsored by the City of Oceanside, Green Oceanside, Waste Management, Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians, Moody’s Environmental Recycling & Reclamation, Encinitas Whole Foods, SDG&E and Pacific State Environmental Contractor.
