Vista CA— Early this morning, January 3, 2015, deputies along with members of Fish and Game responded to a mountain lion sighting in the backyard of a residence located in the 300 block of West Connecticut Avenue in Vista. Upon arrival the suspected mountain lion ran off.
A search of the area by both Sheriff’s Deputies and Fish and Game Officers was conducted. The animal was not located.
The Sheriff’s Department is asking that if residents spot this animal that they immediately contact the Sheriff’s Department and Fish and Game officials. Please do not approach the animal or attempt to detain or subdue it.
