Oceanside CA— North County Transit District will conduct a full-scale emergency exercise Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Oceanside. NCTD personnel, in conjunction with local law enforcement, firefighters, and volunteer role-players will simulate an emergency response onboard a stationary COASTER train.
The exercise will test NCTD’s COASTER Emergency Response Plan and provide first responders with an opportunity to train onboard a rail vehicle.
Southbound traffic on the I-5 Freeway and those in the immediate vicinity of Harbor Drive may notice an increase in emergency vehicle traffic during this time or hear sirens associated with the exercise.
